Hiking in Manzanillo
From Manzanillo, hike to Punta Mona, a 400 hectare wetland that provides a paradise for aquatic birds. Head out and go snorkeling if the sea is calm. This area of Costa Rica is considered one of the most picturesque places in the country. This is an all-day trip to take in some of the most beautiful scenery of the Caribbean coast.

The transcontinental is a demanding hike, so make sure you are in very good physi- cal condition. The trek takes between 11 and 16 days. It can start on the Caribbean side in Suretka and end in Buenos Aires on the Pacific side, or the other way around. You will need to bring and carry your own food, water, clothes, sleeping bag or hammock, gas stove, etc.
