Playa Tortuguero
Tortuguero is a mystical, wild and beautiful place. In one of Limón’s most incredible national parks, you can navigate through the canals, enjoy a beach with strong waves and gray sand where the green turtles lay their eggs (mainly between the second and third week of September) and enjoy the living flora and fauna. It is a perfect place to visit with an accredited guide, because the place is still so unspoiled that there are certain points that cannot even be reached. Walk along the trails, visit the lookout point and, of course, navigate the lagoons and canals.

Playa Parismina
The beach is located at the mouth of the Parismina and is of great ecological importance, since seven species of Atlantic sea turtles nest here. The sea turtles that nest at the mouth of the Río Parismina are the green (Chelonia mydas), leatherback (Dermochelys coriacea) and hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata) sea turtles.
Beach activities: sun, relaxation, sea, walks.

Playa Mondonguillo
One of the most important nesting beaches in the world for leatherback turtles, the largest species of sea turtle. The beach is 6 km long and the Pacuare Reserve protects the nests to prevent poaching.
The main objectives of the project are to conserve the natural diversity of the reserve and to promote environmental education locally and regionally. The best time to travel is between February and September, turtle nesting season. Monitoring of agami herons takes place during their nesting period, which usually occurs between March and August.
