Playa Vizcaya
It is located on the highway to Cahuita in the province of Limón, in the canton of the same name. It is extensive, with grayish sands facing the open sea. It has abundant coastal vegetation, with a large number of coconut trees. The beach is very popular among Limonenses and tourists from elsewhere in Costa Rica. They come to enjoy the beach and explore the mouth of the Río Vizcaya with family or friends. The beach is a great spot for swimming.
Take in the beautiful skies and enjoy the sounds of the sea and the colors of the Caribbean in solitude.

Playa Cieneguita
If you’re close to downtown Limon and like open beaches with plenty of space, this is the one. After Playa Bonita, it is the most popular among locals.
There are recreational areas such as a basketball court, playground for children, and plenty of benches and shade.
It is a nice beach with a good view, but you should keep in mind that according to the Costa Rican Police, the neighborhood of Cieneguita has one of the highest rate of police reports.

Playa Blanca
White sand beach, strong waves and few stones. This beach is managed by the community of Cahuita, which organizes snorkeling and turtle tours and maintains the site in excellent condition. Although there are lots of waves at certain times of the year and depending on the weather, Playa Blanca does have a stretch that is recommended for swimming. You can also enjoy a walk along the beach or the incredible vegetation that surrounds the place. Playa Blanca is part of Cahuita National Park, which is known for its great variety of flora and fauna.
Playa Puerto Vargas
A natural place of great beauty located within the Cahuita National Park. The beautiful white sand beach is combined with a long path along the coast that will allow you to enjoy the sound of the sea while observing the flora and fauna. It has an intermediate swell with few rocks and ample vegetation. It is a place where you can explore while relaxing amidst the clear sand and turquoise water.
