               Cahuita National Park
 Universal Trail
Length: 2.1 km.
Time required: approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
Difficulty: constructed with seasoned wood slats, three resting bays and safety railings.
The park is supported by guides and tour operators from the community, who have been trained by the National Institute of Training (INA) and accredited by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) to provide visitors with services and information.
Hours of operation:
Playa Blanca sector: M-S from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Puerto Vargas sector: M-F from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Recommendations
To enhance your experience it is recommended to hire a local guide.
Stay on the trails.
Bring biodegradable sunscreen and repellent.
Watch your belongings.
Do not stand on coral reefs.
Remember that pets, alcoholic beverages, weapons of any kind, as well as prohibited substances are not allowed.
Wear cool and light clothing because it is a very hot area.
Bring drinking water because the only trail is 5 km to Punta Cahuita and 7 km to Puerto Vargas.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.

                        $If you enter through the Playa Blanca entrance, near the town of Cahuita, the fee is a voluntary contribution in cash, which will be invested in the community of Cahuita and the National Park.
If you go through the Puerto Vargas sector, non-resident foreigners pay $5 and residents and citizens pay ยข1,000 (+ VAT)
