Tourism Activities:
Observation of flora, fauna and birds. The publicly protected areas in the Guanacaste Conservation Area as well as private nature reserves offer pleasant experiences amidst the diverse natural surroundings.
Spot birds, dolphins, whales, devil rays and turtles (seasonal).
Volcanoes. Make the most of your day by visiting some of the most striking volcanoes Costa Rica has to offer, including Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio and Miravalles.
Sun, beaches and sunsets. Along the Pacific coast of Guanacaste, we find several of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches, which offer dreamy sunsets.
Day and Night Hikes. Hikes are a very important way of observing natural and cultural attractions.
Photography. Photographers can take full advantage of the varied cultural, archaeological and scenic options, as well as the richness of the flora and fauna.
Thematic activities. Make the most of thematic activities, which include adventure and ecological parks, access to water activities and hot springs, ziplines, suspension bridges, trails, slides, ocean activities, botanical gardens, and sanctuaries of native and exotic animals.

Sport and river fishing. The crystal-blue Pacific and its rivers beckon, where you can find some of the best sport fishing options in the world.
Waterfalls. Immerse yourself in the refreshing pools of waterfalls such as Llanos del Cortés, La Cangreja and La Oropéndola, Rincón de la Vieja, Aguilar and Buenos Aires, Cabromuco, Escondida, and many more.
Wellness Tourism
Clay and hot springs. Enjoy the soothing properties of the volcanic mud that you can spread on your face and body, and then rinse off in the volcanic hot springs that are naturally heated by the Rincón de la Vieja and Miravalles volcanoes. Experience a soothing and relaxing therapeutic experience.
Spas. Spend a day in the different spas receiving a variety of treatments. Enjoy a relaxing massage and volcanic mud treatment, exfoliations, masks and full body baths with volcanic mud, then relax in the jacuzzi or sauna.
