Due to their geographic location and tourist attractions, both natural and manmade, ports and cruise destinations in the country have competitive conditions that give them the possibility to successfully participate in the expansion expected for the industry worldwide.
Ports in Costa Rica are part of two of the most important cruise market regions in the world: the Pacific and the Caribbean. The number of passengers and cruises in these markets has increased significantly, which leads to favorable growth perspectives.
Costa Rica has beach destinations, natural resources, infrastructure, urban wealth, and other important tourist assets that make it especially attractive for cruise tourism.
